It's wonderful to know that our very own Angel Locsin is one of the nominees for the International Emmy Awards, a prestigious award winning body in the world which focused on television. It was made possible after her splendid performance in Lobo (The Wolf) with actor-turned producer Piolo Pascual.
Our local talents are gaining recognition here and abroad giving us great pride. We're hoping, the Filipinos will always make names in the limelight especially in the field of acting and singing. To name a few, the singing prowess of Lea Salonga, Arnel Pineda, Jed Madela, Charice Pempengco, Sarah Geronimo and Martin Nievera are unbeatable. We have also veteran actor and actresses who inspired our young artists, so that superb acting was made easy for them. Take the case of Coco Martin. His acting ability is beyond compare at his young age. Look at his eyes, they're so expressive. He need not talk a lot. You see, we Filipinos can act. We don't have to be slaves.
