A big "No" is the answer of Pokwang when asked if she will accept the lead in hosting Wowowie. She answered "Wowowie is for Willie and Willie is for Wowowie." She is contented being Willie's sidekick and will always be there if needed. The birthday girl "Pokie" is satisfied of what is happening to her life as of now.

Katrina Halili's Libel Case Against Irene Kho (Hayden Kho's Mother) Dismissed

The Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the libel case filed by Katrina Halili against Irene Kho, mother of Hayden Kho, due to lack of probable cause.

According to Assistant City Prosecutor Rafael Villordon, Halili failed to prove that Irene acted with malice when she said that Katrina Halili is using illegal drugs.

"This office has reason to believe that respondent was able to rebut the presumption of malice under the law. She (Irene Kho) earnestly believed her allegations as true and there is no clear showing that there was any malicious intention to cause damage to Katrina's reputation," Prosecutor Villordon said.

"The statements of Irene in her interviews were evidently made with good motives and for a justifiable cause as they rose from the natural obligation of a mother to defend her son," Villordon added.

Irene Kho had an exclusive with TV Patrol during the time his son, Hayden Kho was involved in video scandal issue. She mentioned that Katrina was using illegal drugs and influence her son to become drug user. Due to this interview, Katrina Halili filed libel case against Irene Kho.

Meanwhile, Raymond Palad, Katrina Halili's lawyer, said that he have to see first the copy of the resolution. He also said that they will no longer file any motion for reconsideration before the prosecutor's office but instead they will go directly to the Department of Justice.

Maricar Reyes : The Third Party in Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin Break Up?

There were issues that the reason behind the Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin break-up is due to third party and that is Maricar Reyes. Maricar Reyes was supposed to be the leading lady of Luis in his previous show "Flash Bomba" but she was replaced by Roxanne Guinoo.

According to news reports, in the press conference of the movie "In My Life" where Luis Manzano is one of the leading actors, he said that his relationship with Angel Locsin is going to what he called a "phase" right now. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza as Maxim Cover Girl September 2009 Issue

The Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza poses topless in the September issue of the Maxim Magazine. Dayana asked the permission from the pageant owner Donald Trump to pose nude for the magazine.

"I never stop taking my clothes off and I'm very glad I got to do it. No, they supported me a lot and helped me to get my photos in there in Maxim. And I say this is what we want, we want to show people that it's fine to take your clothes off while you're not showing too much. It's gracefully done, it's tasteful and it's fashion. It's beautiful and there is nothing wrong with that. Beauty queens don't have to follow the same 20 years ago stereotype anymore," she said.


Dayana Mendoza had once caught in a nude scandal when the photos of her modeling naked for a jewelry ad leaked. The Officials of the Miss Universe organization did not penalized her saying that her pictures were not pornographic but instead they were artistic in nature.

Venezuela Hits Miss Universe Title Again

Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez, was crowned Miss Universe 2009 on the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant held in Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Island of Bahamas a while ago around 11 o'clock AM-Philippine Time. The 1st runner-up was garnered by Miss Dominican Republic Ada de la Cruz, 2nd runner-up, Miss Kosovo Marigona Dragusha, 3rd runner-up, Miss Australia Rachael Finch, and 4th runner-up, Miss Puerto Rico Mayra Matos.

Special awards were also given like the Miss Congeniality to Miss China,Wang Jingyao ,Miss Photogenic to Miss Thailand Chutima Durongdej and Best National Costume to Miss Panama Diana Broce.

Philippines bet Bianca Manalo did not make it even in the top fifteen but she stood up there radiantly and performed well the sequences they are supposed to execute. Her parents were proud of her despite the lose. Anyway, its a great experience since not everybody is privileged to do.

Other candidates looked stunning on their respective gowns as they paraded the slippery stage tiled smoothly for a more shining finish. Thank God , this time nobody slipped.

Today marks the 26th Death Anniversary of Senator Ninoy Aquino. Former President Cory Aquino had just passed away and both are dwelling in heaven. We thanked the Good Lord for giving them to us. Democracy has been restored and we have freedom. Cory, the President is well-loved by us. We cried when she died. We felt her pains. We gave her our respect, paid tribute and offered military honors. She had a decent interment.

During the wake, the Marcoses came to condole with the Aquinos at the Manila Cathedral. Their sincerity was felt and they were accepted. Perhaps, the beginning of a reconciliation.

Too much have been said about the Macoses. So much pain almost ruined their lives. It even caused the life of the genius President. The Aquinos also suffered the same consequences. Yet, they were able to put their minds above their hearts. Pains are always there lingering in our hearts while a Christian mind is governed with good virtues, the virtue of "forgiveness".

President Ferdinand E. Marcos, the great military man, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of the Philippines deserves to be treated the way we did to Cory Aquino. Full military honors, paying tribute to what he really did for the entire nation, the good side of it.

My fellow countrymen, let us join hands and knock the door of forgiveness to the whole country. President Marcos waits to be buried with Dignity. He is a Christian and only a Christian can offer it to him.

Shame On Us Filipinos

I just hope we Filipinos will improve our way of life. Haven't we noticed that we are fond of mocking our leaders? The simplest thing our officials do are despised by our inquisitive minds. Have we asked ourselves what we have contributed to the country? Maybe garbage!

Don't we know we are lucky for having our intelligent President? She speaks well, she's intellectual and can represent Philippines to other countries with confidence. Because of her smartness, she can bring back to us investments and other blessings. Tourist will be attracted to visit our country because we are disciplined people with sensible minds.

We advised our young students not to be very sensitive about irrelevant issues. Go back to your classrooms.

Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Conception and the funny "Pokwang", the three (3) mainstays tried their best to make the show lively as can be. Chokolait, RR and Gabby Conception contributed also to gain back the momentum.

We are hoping Willie Revillame will be back soon or is he shifting to a different endeavor? Senator Manny Villar said he will include Willie in his senatorial slate; should he decide to join politics. Quite a position, huh.

A $35,000 Question - What's For Dinner?

It was just a simple controversial dinner. Some steak, caviar, lobsters and fine wines. The venue was a French Restaurant Le Cirque along New York. The bill was $20,000 or almost a million Pesos. Congressman Romualdez of Leyte gave that blow-out for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and the entire Presidential entourage, around sixty-five (65) of them. Anyway, it was a meaningful treat for the First Couple. Both will celebrate their 41st Wedding Anniversary soon.

The second most-talked dinner in Bobby Van's of Washington, D.C. was a little bit cheaper. Congressman Danilo Suarez of Quezon Province treated the entourage. It costed him $15,000 including tax and tip for that. He showed some receipts lately. Of course, it wouldn't pass thru Commission on Audit (COA) because that was a personal expenditure.

Those two dinner dates had a total amount of $35,000. The whole entourage did enjoy such dinner. They shared some fantastic conversation and more bonding moments with each other.

However, on the contrary, the Filipino nation tremendously reacted after knowing the news from the New York Post. Gossips also scattered thru the internet.They commonly claimed that the Lady President must remember the hungry Filipinos she left back home in the Philippines. Why should she spend much?

One thing, we forgot are the privileges and amenities, the working President is entitled of. She represented our country as smart as she was with dignity and pride. She only showed that we are a strong nation of great leaders and sensible citizenry always ready to beat the hardships of life. Otherwise, shall we allow our leaders to be embarrassed in the international front?

ABS-CBN Comments on Willie Revillame's Controversy

The ABS-CBN management finally gave their comments regarding the actions of Willie Revillame last August 3,2009 in his show Wowowie. Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairman Consoliza Laguardia filed a formal complaint with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) last August 10,2009. According to Chairman Laguardia, Willie Revillame violated the section 3 of Presidental Decree 1986. Laguardia also said that Willie Revillame violated the Code of Ethics of KBP and the part of MTRCB , Section 3 of Presidential Decree 1986 of being objectionable and contrary to good customs and traditions.

In the same day (August 10,2009), the KBP transmitted the MTRCB complaint to ABS-CBN which they replied with these letter:

A letter from Ms. Socorro "Cory" Vidanes (one of ABS-CBN top executives) to Ms. Diana Gozum, chairperson of the KBP Standards Authority.

Dear Ms. Gozum:

We write in reply to your letter dated 10 August 2009, requesting ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation to comment on the complaint of Movie and Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson Ma. Consoliza P. Laguardia dated 10 August 2009, and an undated statement of Jerry Yap, President of the Alyansa ng Filipino Mamamahayag (AFIMA).

The said complaint and statement both refer to the 03 August 2009 episode of the television program Wowowee, wherein the funeral cortege of the late President Corazon C. Aquino was exhibited as an inset in portions of the said program. The MTRCB letter alleges that Mr. Revillame "appeared to arrogantly demand the removal of the inset screen showing the funeral cortege." The Honorable MTRCB Chairperson then opined that the said act was "desecrating the dead" and, thus, "seems to be in violation of Article 20, Section 2, of the Broadcast Code of the Philippines." On the other hand, the AFIMA statement states that "[f]or him to demand the removal of the little window screen showing the funeral march of the woman who got ABS-CBN back from Marcos is a blasphemy of democracy, an act despicable x x x." It appears, therefore, that the complaint and statement are both based on the alleged disrespect by Mr. Revillame to the late former President Aquino.

It is ABS-CBN's position that there was no disrespect of the dead by Mr. Revillame. When the funeral cortege of former President Aquino was shown as an inset during Wowowee, Mr. Revillame expressed his opinion of the inappropriateness of the simultaneous exhibition of both the funeral cortege and Wowowee, and his preference that only one or the other be shown.

In expressing his opinion and preference, though, Mr. Revillame did not show disrespect for former President Aquino. In fact, the contrary is true. In making his statements, Mr. Revillame wanted to give due respect to former President Aquino and her funeral cortege.

Indeed, in Filipino culture, customs, and tradition, ceremonies involving the dead are solemn and sober. Thus, the laughter, jokes, and happiness usually seen in a program like Wowowee would appear to be inappropriate when viewed together with the funeral cortege. On the one hand, the Filipino people are mourning the death of a loved and respected former President, and on the other hand, Wowowee is trying to entertain its audience.

It appears, therefore, that Mr. Revillame's issue was with the inappropriateness of Wowowee and the funeral cortege being shown together, and not with the funeral cortege itself. While it may be argued that Mr. Revillame could have expressed his thoughts in a better way and that it would have been better to raise them privately, instead of the public manner in which he did, such was not disrespectful of the dead and does not constitute an offense under the KBP Broadcast Code of the Philippines.

We trust the foregoing comment satisfactorily establishes that there was no violation of the KBP Broadcast Code of the Philippines.

Michael Jackson Burial Updates

According to news, Joe Jackson announced that Michael Jackson will be buried on his 51st birthday which will be on August 29,2009, 10 a.m. (Pacific Daylight Time), at Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

It is also reported that the funeral ceremony would be private and limited to Jackson family and their close friends only but news media will be accommodated.

The Black Eyed Peas - Tribute to the Filipina Ladies

The Black Eyed Peas recently released their fifth album "The E.N.D." (short for The Energy Never Dies). The album's lead single, "Boom Boom Pow", topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 consecutive weeks. Their second single "I Gotta Feeling" is also in the top spot until this week. Senator Mar Roxas and Ms. Korina Sanchez Wedding Date

Yesterday on "The Buzz" Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas and ABS-CBN News Chief Correspondent Korina Sanchez finally announced the exact date of their wedding. When will it be?? This grand celebration of love will on October 23,2009.

Senator Mar said that they both choose this date because the month is special to both of them. Korina Sanchez and Mar's brother, Dinggoy, were both born in this month. Dinggoy also passed away in the this month due to cancer.

“[Iyong date na] 23 swerte sa amin ‘yan, both in astrology at Chinese calendar. Sa numerology naman sinabi nila 2 at 3 kapag pinagsama, 5, buntis. Maganda iyon,” Senator Mar Roxas also said.

The sweet lovers, Korina and Mar are still looking for the "perfect church" within the Metro Manila for their wedding ceremony. Korina said that they want a big church to accomodate all her family, friends and the public as well. Among the churches that were considered are Santo Domingo Church and Manila Cathedral.

John Lloyd Cruz : The Next Wowowie Host?

Due to Willie Revillame behavior last week, he received negative comments from the public. Around 48,000 people signed for a campaign to stop Willie Revillame to host the Wowowie show. People have some suggestions of possible Wowowie host like Randy Santiago, APO Hiking society, Arnel Ignacio and John Lloyd Cruz. Willie Revillame was in indefinite leave since August 8. He was advised to go on leave because of the controversy during the ABS-CBN's live coverage of the transfer of the late President Corazon Aquino remains from La Salle Green Hills to Manila Cathedral on August 3.

In an interview with John Lloyd Cruz, he was asked if he is willing to replace Willie Revillame as Wowowie host.

"Naku, imposible po 'yon. Ang ‘Wowowee’ po ay nasa katauhan na ni Kuya Willie. Sa kanya ang show na 'yon. Ako dati, humahalili ako kay Kuya Willie, pumapalit ako sa kanya kapag may sakit siya, and sobra kong nae-enjoy ang show. Kasi pareho kami ni Kuya Willie na enjoy sa audience," John Lloyd Cruz said.

"Gusto naming magpasaya at 'yong hinanakit nila ay gusto ko ding i-share para maging inspirasyon sa iba. So, in that sense, oo, gusto kong mag-host ng ‘Wowowee,’ pero para ako ang pumalit kay kuya Willie sa 'Wowowoee' ng permanente, imposibleng mangyari 'yon," he added .

"Malaki ang respeto ko kay Kuya Willie. Hindi ko 'yon (magagawa), hindi natin abot 'yon. Si Kuya Willie lang talaga ang pwedeng mag-host at manatiling host ng Wowowee."

"My schedule won't allow me to host ‘Wowowee’ kasi sa pelikula nga ngayon (na ‘In My Life’ with Batangas Governor Vilma Santos). And kasi, after ng movie ni Bea Alonzo (na ‘And I Love You So’) 'yong movie namin ang kasunod. So, medyo gahul din kami sa oras," he also said.

Sandara Park Choose to Spend Vacation Here in the Philippines

The YG entertainment informed that the 2NE1 girls have their one week vacation.

"2NE1's Dara, Bom, CL and Minzy will be going for their own vacation from today until 16th August. Since making their debut in May 2009 (sounds like a long time, isn't it?), the 4 girls have been busy practically everyday with training, rehearsals and performances without a break for the past 3 months. We decided to give them a short vacation of five days to let them re-energize themselves."

There were updates that the 2NE1 choose to spend their one week free time to places where they spend their childhood. Bom (Bom Park/Jenny Park,25,main vocal) will go to America, CL (Lee Chae Rin/Faith Lee, 18, leader, main rapper, vocal) to Japan, Minzy (Gong Min-ji, 15, rapper, vocal) to her grandmother's place in Korea and finally Dara (Sandara Park ,24,v ocal) my favorite among them will spend her vacation here in the Philippines.

This coming August 15,2009 , there will be another boxing event in Las Vegas,.Nevada. Watch the match of Bernabe Conception 29-1-1 (16 KOs) and Steven Luevano 36-1-1 (15 KOs) live stream online. You can also watch its telecast for free in GMA 7 in Sunday morning August 16. This will be Bernabe Concepcion’s first attempt at the WBO featherweight title. Steven Lueveno has successfully defended his title 4 times and is generally regarded as one of the best featherweights in boxing. Willie Revillame (Wowowie Host) Needs an Adviser

Cast on Monday, August 3,2009, ABS-CBN top noontime show, "Wowowie" was as usual such a lively entertaining one. In one of its segments, the ABS-CBN management inserted a box on the TV screen showing the happenings at the Manila Cathedral. The remains of the late President Cory Aquino was laid there for visitation after Greenhills- La Salle. So, it was inserted to the Wowowie show for the viewing people to have an update.

After a while, as Willie Revillame, the country's most popular TV host for noontime show noticed it, he immediately announced publicly to the management to omit such update. He reasoned out that his show was an entertaining one. The scene will just distract the lively atmosphere in the studio.

Many viewers commented on the unethical gesture made by Willie. Without hesitation he instructed the management what not to do.

I, for myself, is an avid fan of Willie. I also got his point, but he should have silently instructed his staff to request management to get that box for it will spoil the spirit of his show. Times like this will only put down the good image of Willie.

My piece of advice - Think Twice Before Talking (TTBT).
