In the current climate of economic, environmental and political uncertainty, now more than ever, people are looking for security and assurance in their lives. Part of this includes deciding which public figures they can rely on and trust. Filipinos are no different. The decision is even more significant in the Philippines as this is a country that’s had major grievances with those it has trusted. That’s why Reader’s Digest is pleased to reveal the results of our exclusive survey, which looks at trusted people and professions in the Philippines.

For the first time ever, we have conducted a nationwide survey asking people to rate 80 influential Filipino personalities on their trustworthiness. The list was presented in random order and ratings were given as a score out of ten where one equated to “Don’t trust at all” and ten being “Trust completely”.

The number one spot goes to actress and philanthropist, Rosa Rosal.



Dubbed as the “original femme fatale of Philippine cinema”, Rosal’s impressive acting career is complemented by her lifelong commitment to humanitarian activities. She joined the Philippine National Red Cross as a volunteer in 1950 and is this year celebrating her 60th anniversary working with them. Using her high profile, Rosal has promoted voluntary blood donation and set up blood banks across the country. Her many other achievements include establishing a Women’s Crisis Centre aimed at assisting needy mothers and finding homes for abandoned children.

Michael Jackson Cardiologists Pleads Not Guilty

The Pop King, Michael Jackson, has a severe insomia he has to seek the help of his cardiologists Dr. Conrad Murray. Millions of fans believed that he was given an overdose shot that caused his death. Parents and relatives of the Pop King accused the doctor for that matter. Dr. Murray said, "I was there with Michael to bring him to sleep..not to murder him". He has to defend himself by pleading not guilty.

The last episode of "May Bukas Pa" is rewarding because Santino did not die. We Filipinos hate to see the lead star die at the end of the story. I just like to comment on the scene wherein the Virgin Mary played by Charo Santos (ABS-CBN President) talks directly to the Miracle Boy on a frontal view. It is not ridiculous? It should have been a silhouette only or a side view not showing the entire face. The one they are doing with the image of Bro is impressive. Maybe, they going to improve that at the next series of the story.

Kris Aquino | Getting Better With Her Acting

I'm pretty sure sure, many have noticed that for the 1st few weeks of Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, the acting of Kris was quite a disaster. Maybe she was a little bit drained of her talents after her mother's death. Now we noticed she's levelling up otherwise Kim will outsmart her. But televiewers are dying about Kris. Show an episode without her and people will clamor. We love to see her in what she says and does. In sohrt she is the magic seasoning of the entire series.
