The Filipino people in the entire world are very proud of Efren Peñaflorida of Cavite for winning the CNN Hero of the Year. Peñaflorida received $100,000 to continue his work with Dynamic Teen Company, according to CNN. He earlier got $25,000 for being included in the top 10 CNN Heroes. What matters most is his good deed of pushing a Kariton (cart) filled with school materials and other educational paraphernalia's that will serve as a classroom to 300 out-of-school children. Together with his other co-members of the Dynamic Teen Company, they convert the said Kariton into a classroom thus, calling it Kariton Classroom and teach the children the basic education according to their age level. Such noble deed is extra-ordinary for such group of teeners to devote their precious times to the street children without any remuneration. In fact, at the start,they were mocked by people. But due to their will power and purity of intent, they persisted until they gained respect and support from the community. That support gained international recognition and now Efren is a hero in his own rights.He intends to use 90% of his price for acquiring a quarter for learning for the kids and the remaining 10% to be donated to the church in his locality. Seldom can you see such a person who always think of others welfare above himself. We salute you Efren for that. To the Dynamic Teen Company, our kudos to all of you. They founded that company last 1997.

Manny Makes An Appeal

Despite all the controversies here and abroad about Manny Pacquiao and Krista Ranillo, the duo remained silent. Sometimes, Manny keeps on answering the "No Comment" lines but not a word has been heard from Krista. That is why Manny is appealing to the media, to the press, to the entire nation to stop the gossip. Krista with her family is hurt by the bad publicity.

The Pacman never denied nor accepted the rumor. Even Jinkee is temporarily silent. Although she shared some truthful statements to a "kumare", that won't be divulged now. All Is Fair In Politics

Incumbent Governor of Batangas, Vilma Santos and husband Ralph Recto are both disappointed with the gestures of Serge Osmeña who was demonstrative about his disliking for the couple. Vilma in an interview said that they have been invited by the Liberal Party to join forces with them for the complete change. They were not the ones who persuaded the party to accept them that's why the reaction of Osmeña to leave the Liberal Party is like a big slap on their faces.

We can conclude Vilma is right because if the intention of the couple is for the good of everybody, nobody should stop them. In politics, anybody is a friend although he might be an enemy before.

The crown was designed by an environmentalist jewelry designer, Ramona Haar, the official jeweller of the Miss Earth pageant.

The new crown is made of 100% recycled precious metals comprising of 14kt gold and argentums sterling silver. What sets the Miss Earth crown apart is the fact that the gemstones used both precious stone and semiprecious stone were donations from over 80 different participating countries. These are gemstones that each country is known for either as the origin or source. The gemstones were sent in various forms: faceted, cabochons, beads or rough. The designer traveled to Jaipur, India to have these gemstones individually trimmed and faceted to the required cut and sizes.

A Hero's Welcome for Manny Pacquiao

The People Champ and his delegation arrived at the airport yesterday at 9:00 P.M.. Surprisingly, his wife Jinkee Pacquiao arrived on a separate plane at 8:00 P.M. The press tried to ask Mommy Dionisia about the amazing, scenario but answered back she knows nothing.

All is set about the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) office used to do for the last 3 years. DENR Secretary Lito Atienza is going to welcome him with a red carpet accommodation. A parade will follow with a shortened route. An awarding ceremony will follow at the Luneta Grandstand wherein Pacquiao will be awarded with an Order of Sikatuna Award by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. A thanksgiving mass was held in Quiapo Church.

Despite the good things that is happening to Manny, his wife, Jinkee's family is mad at him. They threat to boycott Manny's movie. Even his political ambition is at stake. They won't support his candidacy for Congressman in Sarangani. Maybe the reason is the alleged infidelity of Manny.

Pacman Seeks Privacy

People should honor only his achievements. That is the ultimate wish of the Pound for Pound king now that in private life is invaded. He expressed how his private life is getting smaller since the issue between him and Krista Ranillo started. Jinkee did not show up at the afterfight party of Manny. It is obvious, Manny is already affected by the actuations of his wife. At first, she might have kept her sentiments within herself before the fight. Willie Revillame Bridges "Manny" Pacquiao for "Manny" Villar

Willie Revillame fresh from the United States and host of Wowowie made it clear on his show today that he was not booed by the fans at MGM Grand during Manny's fight. He was personally invited by the People's Champ to witness the game. He was given a ringside ticket and asked by Manny to ride with him at the limousine. Upon arrival at the area, he was supposed to walk behind Manny but it was him who request that Willie stay beside him and Jinkee at the other side. So its not booeng but applauding.

It's quite revealing now that Willie is trying to get the nod of Manny to join the ticket of Manny Villar. With the statements of Willie today a ninety-nine percent (99%) positive respond is expected. We all knew that ex-President Joseph "Erap" Estrada courted Manny Pacquiao to join his ticket all his way from General Santos City before. May the best man win.

Lovers Quarrel

The Pacquiao team and family heard a thanks giving mass in Las Vegas just after the victorious fight of Manny. It was during the Homily that Jinkee started to shed tears and even until the offering of the Peace. She resisted when Manny tried to reach her arms toward him for a hug. Instead, Jinkee leaned at the shoulders of her friend towards her right side. Manny is on the left side. It was Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao who embraced Manny. The scene is enough to prove that Jinkee and Manny are not in good terms. What in the world is happening? After all those achievements, despite the victory, the wealth, the fame, what makes Jinkee Pacquiao so sad and tearful.

The issue here is jealousy. The woman involved is Krista Ranillo, Pacman's latest leading lady in his movie WaPakman. There is a rumor that Manny was seen in Hongkong with Krista last October before his fight with Cotto. The movie press keeps on asking Manny the truth behind it but he just repeat the same phrase "No Comment" for an answer.

Fans from all over the world celebrated the victory of Manny Pacquiao. His mother who usually hide in her hotel room while Manny is playing came out overwhelming with joy. Jinkee, the usual teary wife who always stood behind her husband never dreamed Manny to go that far. She expressed how proud she was with her hubby. But living with a rich and famous husband is all not glory.

Manny Pacquiao who always have other dreams aside from boxing joined Showbiz a few years back. He was then romantically linked to her leading ladies. Philippine Tidbits: A State Visit

The United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited the Philippines today, November 12,2009. The Philippines National Police has scattered 6,000 of its men throughout the vicinity especially in the itinerary areas of Clinton. She will see for herself the areas greatly affected by the previous floods brought about by Typhoons Ondoy and Peping.

A group of military group welcomed her with protest. They are speculating that main purpose of visit is to lengthen the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) between the United States and the Philippines. Congressman Bongbong Marcos expressed his opinion that Hillary Clinton just wants to make sure that the next President to rule over the country is an American Boy "Amboy."

The visit of Clinton coincided with the release of Father Michael Sinnott (79), the Irish Priest, who was kidnapped by the alleged loose command for a month and was freed this 5:00 a.m, November 12,2009 Philippine time.

Meanwhile, the military denied the alleged ransom of 1.5 million dollars for the release of the Irish missionary.

Miguel Cotto "No to the 7th World Belt"

The Puerto Rican, Miguel Cotto told the spectators and press that he would not allow Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao to get the seventh world belt he is aiming at. Although Manny has a lot of fans flocking around him wherever he goes, it does not completely mean assurance of victory.

It is a great pride for us Filipinos to have Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao as cover boy of the Time Magazine-Asia edition this November 2009. He is the only Filipino who made our country so popular almost in the entire world. He is so loved by people that he gained so much respect thereby calling him a Greek or a Roman Hero.
