"A Christmas Carol" Movie Review

A Christmas Carol is a novel written by Charles Dickens in 1843. It tells about the redemption of a miserly and mean-spirited man named Ebenezer Scrooge.

On the night of Christmas eve, Scrooge was visited by three ghosts. They were the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet To Come. What these ghosts showed him made Scrooge realize a lot of things.

The ghost of Christmas Past took Scrooge on a journey back in time, into his past. He saw himself as a young apprentice to Fezzwig. He was then engaged to Belle.

The Ghost of Christmas Present showed Scrooge the present condition of his life and of those around him. He saw the miserable condition of the Chatrit family. Mr. Chatrit is Scrooge's clerk and he has a son, Tiny Tim, with a serious illness. In his nephews Christmas party, he has seen how he was made a laughing stock of their guessing game.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come showed Scrooge of a man's death. People involved with the dead man's daily life took interests in his belongings and riches. Scrooge insisted the Christmas Ghost to tell him the dead man's name. He was shown the tombstone and Scrooge saw his own name written on it.
