We are celebrating today the National Day of Mourning to give honor to the interme
nt of Ka Erdy Manalo, Executive Minister of Iglesia ni Cristo. He was temporarily laid on a tabernacle just near the Iglesia ni Cristo Templo Central at the Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. Thousands of followers and members of Iglesia ni Cristo witnessed the solemn ceremony. Very Important Persons including President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo graced the occasion.
Eraño "Ka Erdy" Manalo died of cardio pulmonary arrest at the age of 84 in the afternoon of August 31,2009 (3:53 pm). Eduardo Manalo, Deputy Minister and son of the late "Ka Erdy" is expected to take over the lead of the Iglesia ni Cristo.
