It is a tradition, strong faith, belief taken as one to make this event possible. The worshipers rich or poor, sick or healthy consider this day, a day of pilgrimage. They offer themselves, leave their work and offer the whole day for the Black Nazarene by following the procession no matter how weak they are. A simple touch to the image will make them stronger than ever, ready again to challenges of life for the whole year round, be it in terms of finances, health and achievements. In fact they are those businessman who usually thank the Black Nazarene for the bountiful return of investments. They return the blessings by feeding thousands of worshipers after the procession. Others are thankful about the revival of their good health after suffering from dreadful diseases for a long period of time.
Some religious families continue to maintain the luster of their Black Nazarene images. They polish them well, dress the image and prepare for the yearly procession. It is continuing process within a family from generation to generation. Some have been doing this for more than 400 years as this will strengthen the ties of the family. They could afford to lose other wealth of this lives but not the Black Nazarene. They believe the strength of acquisition of Good Graces of the Lord comes from the tradition.
The chain of fate continues as they instill to their young the value of spiritual guidance to attain fulfillment in any endeavor. Yes, nobody beats the magic of the Black Nazarene.
